Care & Use

Before use please read our ‘Care & Use’ guidelines for safety information:

Wax Burners/melters

Wax burners must be kept on a flat heat resistant surface and away from draughts and flammable objects and never near open windows. Damage could occur if the wax melt burner is placed on a non-heat resistant surface without the use of a protective plate, heat proof mat or similar. Do not place on other heat sources.

Only 3-4 hour unscented tea lights should be placed in the bottom base of the wax melt burner.

Wax burners will become hot while in use. Do not touch or move whilst in use to avoid risk of burns. Allow the burner to cool completely before it is moved or touched.

Never let the wax pool completely evaporate while tealight is alight to avoid scorching and/or smoke.

Wax burners must be allowed to cool completely before reuse or cleaning. When cleaning the wax burners and removing wax, do not apply pressure as this can damage the burner. Make sure the burner is completely dry before re-using.

Never leave unattended and keep out of reach of pets and children.

Reed Diffusers

To maintain your reed diffuser and keep your home fragranced for longer, we recommend following our care instructions below.

When you receive your diffuser, carefully remove the cap and stopper, then place the reeds inside the diffuser and replace the cap.

The reeds are naturally porous, and this allows for the gradual absorption of the liquid which then moves slowly up the reeds before scenting the surrounding air.

To increase the life of your reeds, we advise flipping the reeds carefully once a week – I call it the Friday flip.  Grab all the reeds carefully in one hand, remove them from the diffuser, flip them over and place them back into the diffuser, spreading them out as preferred.  Be careful when flipping the reeds to avoid the oil coming into contact with your skin. Should this happen, we recommend washing your hands immediately.

We advise that you place your reed diffuser on a protective plate or mat in order to protect surfaces from any spillages. Any reed diffuser liquid which comes into contact with materials such as wallpaper, curtains, polished or synthetic surfaces or fabrics may cause staining & permanent marking.

Candles

Always trim wick to 5mm before lighting to avoid smoking and damage to the glass. Keep the candle free from any foreign materials, including matches and wick trimmings.

Never burn a candle for longer than 4 hours at a time. Do not allow the flame to touch the glass. On the first burn for 2 hours to ensure and even melt pool. Ensure the wick is upright, above the wax and central before the wax sets.

Extinguish when 5mm of wax remains and do not relight.

Always put candles on a heat resistant level surface. Position them away from curtains. Don’t put candles near curtains or other fabrics – or furniture. Keep them out of draughts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Candles should be out of reach of children and pets. Keep candles apart. Leave at least 10cm between two burning candles

Don’t move them when they’re burning. Extinguish candles before moving them.

Don’t leave them burning. Extinguish candles before you leave a room. Never go to sleep with a candle still burning. And never leave a burning candle or oil burner in a child’s bedroom

Use a snuffer It’s safer than blowing them, which can send sparks and hot wax flying

Double check they’re out.
